How to create a 'New Room' in AssetLog?
Creating a new room in AssetLog enables structured registration of spaces within buildings. This makes it easier to assign assets, schedule inspections, plan maintenance tasks, and maintain compliance with standards such as NEN 3140 by keeping building data clear and centrally accessible.
- Go to https://my.assetlog.nl/my-dashboard

The dashboard is the central starting point for all actions in AssetLog. It provides an overview of your projects and tasks. Starting here gives quick access to the relevant sections. - Click "Projects"

The Projects section groups all active projects. This keeps asset management organized by project. Select the correct project to continue. - In the relevant Project, click "Manage project"

Manage project opens the administration options for the selected project. This area contains project details for fast reference. It provides centralized control over related buildings and assets. - Click "Buildings"

Buildings displays all buildings linked to the project. This organizes assets by physical location. It allows efficient navigation to the specific building you need. - Click the relevant Building (for example: "Damstraat 1")

Selecting the building lets you manage its floors. This links assets to real-world locations. It supports accurate inspections and task assignment. - Click the relevant Floor (in this example: "1-1st-floor")

Choose the floor to view or manage rooms. This creates a hierarchical structure of the building. It improves organization of assets per floor level. - Click "Actions"

The Actions menu provides options for adding or editing content. It gives quick access to management tasks. This streamlines the process of creating rooms. - Click "+ Room"

This starts the creation process for a new room. It opens the room input form. This ensures consistent registration of new spaces. - Enter a value in the "Name" field of the New Room form (for example: "office 1")

The name uniquely identifies the room. This field is essential for searching and referencing. It enables clear linking of assets to specific rooms. - Optionally upload photos of the Room

Photos provide visual documentation of the room condition. They support inspections, maintenance decisions, and reporting. This enriches the building data with images. - Click "Save"

Save confirms and stores the new room. All entered data is recorded in the system. The room is now part of the building structure. - A new room has been created

The room is immediately available in AssetLog. This completes the action and updates the building overview. You can now assign assets and plan tasks for this room.
