How to 'Report a Problem' in AssetLog?
Reporting a problem in AssetLog allows users to quickly log issues or malfunctions directly on specific assets. This ensures timely follow-up through notifications, conversion to tasks or tickets, and centralized tracking in the inbox/servicedesk. It supports efficient maintenance, reduces downtime, and helps maintain compliance with standards such as NEN 3140 by documenting asset conditions promptly.
- Go to https://my.assetlog.nl/my-dashboard

The dashboard serves as the central entry point for all AssetLog actions. It displays an overview of projects, tasks, and notifications. Starting here provides fast access to project management features. - Click "Projects"

Projects organizes all active asset management projects. This keeps related buildings, assets, and reports grouped logically. Select the appropriate project to proceed. - In the relevant Project, click "Manage project"

Manage project opens administrative tools for that project. It provides access to assets, buildings, and reporting functions. This centralizes control over project-specific data. - Click "Assets"

The Assets view lists all registered assets hierarchically by location. This enables navigation to the exact asset needing attention. It supports precise problem reporting tied to real locations. - Navigate to and click the relevant level ('Building', 'Floor' or 'Room') of the Asset (in this example: "office-1")

Drilling down to the correct location ensures the problem is linked accurately. This hierarchical structure mirrors physical building layout. It improves traceability during inspections and follow-ups. - Click the relevant Asset (in this example: "Mobiele Airco")

Selecting the asset opens its detailed page with history and actions. This context helps describe the issue accurately. It ties the problem report directly to the affected item. - Click "Actions"

The Actions menu contains quick options for asset management. It includes reporting, editing, and other common tasks. This keeps frequently used functions easily accessible. - Click "Report a problem"

This opens the problem reporting form linked to the selected asset. It starts the official logging process. The report becomes visible to relevant team members via notifications. - Fill in the "Description" field (in this example: "Cooling liquid is leaking")

The description captures the nature of the issue clearly. Provide enough detail for quick understanding and action. This field is key for technicians and decision-makers. - Select the relevant "Priority" (in this example: "medium")

Priority helps sort and escalate reports appropriately. Options typically include low, medium, or high. Correct selection ensures issues are handled in the right order. - Click "Save"

Save submits the problem report to the system. It creates a record that triggers notifications if configured. The issue is now tracked centrally for follow-up. - Click "Inbox"

The Inbox provides an overview of all problem reports and related items. Here you can monitor status, updates, and conversions to tasks/tickets. It serves as the central hub for issue management. - Here you find an overview of all 'Problem Reports'

This list shows submitted problems with status, priority, and asset details. It enables team coordination and progress tracking. Reports can be filtered or searched for efficient handling.
