Connect a 'company contact' to a 'location'

Connecting a company contact to a location in AssetLog helps you link the right supplier, contractor or department contact to a specific building area. This makes it easier to route communication, service requests and maintenance follow-up to the correct location.

  1. Click “Contacts”.
    This opens the contact area where company contacts are managed.

  2. Select the relevant BuildingFloor and Room levels to filter and find the Company Contact that the Department Contact should be added to.
    Filtering by location helps you quickly find the correct company contact in larger projects.

  3. Click the relevant Company Contact (in this example: “demo_onderhoudsbedrijf_techniek-experts”).
    Opening the correct contact ensures you connect it to the right location record.

  4. Click “Actions”.
    The Actions menu contains the option for linking the contact to a location.

  5. Click “+ Location”.
    This opens the location assignment flow for the selected company contact.

  6. Select the Building that you want to assign the Company Contact to (in this example: “Damstraat 1”).
    Choosing the right building ensures the contact is tied to the correct site.

  7. Select the Floor that you want to assign the Company Contact to (in this example: the “1st-floor”).
    Linking the contact to a floor makes it clear which part of the building the contact supports.

  8. Click “Connect”.
    This confirms the relationship between the contact and the selected location.

  9. Verify that the company contact has been successfully connected to the location.
    The confirmation shows the assignment is active and ready for use in workflows and communication.

  10. Scroll down to check the assignment details.
    Reviewing the assignment helps ensure the contact is linked exactly where you expect it.
